Ouch... This looks like it must have hurt! I sincerely hope for Mr Pedrosa's sake, and for his family's, that this guy had some kind of fully comprehensive motorbike insurance! If he was lucky then the insurance company may even have covered the loss of this poor guys income whilest he was unable to work due to being shacked up in a wheelchair!
However, not all motorbike insurance companies will offer such lucrative cover, so be sure to check your policy very carefully before tearing into hair-pins at over 100mph! And of course, don't tell your insurer that you are going to be doing this, or you can expect those premiums to fluctuate against your favour.
